CPSIA CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE

Accoutrements is dedicated to product safety and quality.

CPSIA safety regulations for toys designed for or primarily intended for children under 12, made after November 12, 2008, and sold in the U. S., require Certificates of Compliance (COCs).

Accoutrements worked closely with the Toy Industry Association and the Consumer Products Safety Commission to implement the compliance requirements in an efficient manner. Read the Toy Industry Foundation's An Open Letter to Toy Retailers.

Providing COCs digitally eliminates the need to include paper certificates with our shipments to you.

Toy items requiring a certificate will be shown on your invoice with *COC next to the item description. See example below:

Certificates are not required for items produced and imported before 11-12-08. Those items can continue to sell through and are in compliance with regulations, as are Accoutrements' items you may have ordered in the past.

As new toy orders begin to arrive about January 19, 2009, the required COCs are posted below.

If you're unable to locate a certificate for a specific item, it means the item was either in stock before 11-12-08 and does not require a certificate or because it is not a toy designed or primarily intended for children under 12 and does not require a certificate.

NOTE: Certificates are not required for non-children's toy items such as house wares, kitchen items, candy, gum, bandages, rugs, wastebaskets, dental floss, bags, clocks, watches etc.
